This is a fun rock star romance with witty dialogue and two vastly different yet likeable characters. Second grade teacher Maureen's on her way to a blind date when her bad brakes cause her to detour to her local mechanic instead. But the shop owner, Tony, isn't there. She meets Tony's younger brother, Michael, a guy with lots of eye appeal. While Michael volunteers to fix her brakes, he's not a mechanic. He's a rock star who came home for a visit before beginning a tour for his band's new album. In Maureen, Michael has found all the things he didn't know he needed: serenity, routine, and sharp wit, all wrapped in a sexy, if understated, package. Maureen has no idea who Michael is at first and sees their few dates as a simple fling. The intensity of their relationship overwhelms them both and Michael not only confesses his true identity, he asks her to marry him. A few things bothered me about this story. First, I never truly believed Michael loved Maureen. He says it a lot, but he also calls her "baby," even when she insists he stop, his friends talk about other women he fell for and asked to marry him, and his affection seems more about introducing this shy, unassuming woman into his world for the calmness she brings him and for the ability to play hero. The ending is abrupt and leaves too much to the reader's imagination. All in all, it's a really good ride and I'll be looking forward to reading other books in the series to see where these characters go.

I really enjoyed this book and the characters in it. Michael is home, taking a break from his band. He is working in his brother's garage when Maureen stops by with a brake issue. She is on her way to yet another blind date set up by one of her friends. She is an elementary school teacher and has no desire to keep going on these dates. Michael doesn't tell her he is in a famous band, he likes her and just wants to be a regular guy. Maureen has no idea who he is until after a few dates. Bear, (Michael) wants a relationship with Maureen but they soon find out how difficult this will be. A brilliant story of love and how it can change a person's life. Looking forward to reading more.
I loved the premise behind this book the down-to-earth good girl and the bad boy Rockstar fighting for their love. It sounded like it was going to be sweet and fun. But it wasn’t really those things at all. Instead, I found it to be uncomfortable reading. The author wasn’t kidding with the preface note warning that there were nasty friends and family ahead. For me, their nastiness was too over the top the supporting cast are all losing their minds over things they have no say or control over. Maureen and Bear are pretty cute together but the angsty insecurities don’t give a good feeling about the longevity of their relationship. I love the way Maureen chooses to take her life in her hands in the end, I just wish there was more resolution in the ending. Too much stuff is still up in the air when the book is over. I’m not sure I’m invested enough in these characters to continue with the series.

I really liked the storyline and the central characters but was put-off by the repeated descriptive sex scenes. The story could have stood alone without it and would have been as good of a story.
This book is a bit low on hot sex, but the story is generally good if not a bit far fetched. The main characters' flaws are believable as are their issues but it seems odd that anyone would want to marry after a week. It makes for a good afternoon on the couch.
This book had me from the very first page. I love the author's snappy, sarcastic voice. It had me laughing through most of the book! The hero is drool-worthy, and I adored the heroine. The sexual chemistry between the two popped off the page. What I liked best is how the author gave the characters time to get to know each other before they fell head-over-heels in love.

A great book! I'll definitely be picking up the next one in the series!
This story ends to fast it needs an epilogue to let us know how the lawsuit goes, I hope we get an answer in the next book. This is a great story otherwise, I enjoyed reading it.
I enjoyed this book a lot. I would have given it 5 stars if it hadn't ended so quickly. No epilogue, no idea what happens next? I hate being left hanging like that. I have now read this book over three times, it's that good. My only issue, besides no epilogue, is the credit card. If a man had given me a CC and told me he gave all his girlfriends one.............he would need to go to the doctor to have it removed. JMO
